The Intermunicipal Community of the Region of Aveiro inaugurated on October 17, the Blue route (GR57) of the Grande Rota da Ria, a trail of more than 130km, which starts in the center of Aveiro and develops in the municipalities of Murtosa, Ovar, Estarreja, Aveiro, Ílhavo, Vagos and Albergaria-a-Velha.
It is an incredible initiative. The "Grande Rota da Ria de Aveiro", offers us not one, but more than 100km to choose from to be done alone, or with family or with friends.
Walking or cycling with the family was always embarrassing because the parents were afraid to go to some places due to traffic. With this initiative, this Route is a great option where parents can take their children safely, to release their energy, always involved in nature. We can observe and fall in love with our biodiversity, vegetation and animals. It is a beautiful path that invites us to experience every detail, every landscape, every corner.
Its routes around the main navigable channel of the Ria de Aveiro, offer us a smooth experience where there are several resting points and some sands where we can disconnect from the noise of the cities and feel the aroma of the estuary; and, who knows, although many of the children or adults do not like it, but there is always the possibility to feel the water, to get their feet wet, or even for a swim, or try the paddle and the sail.
Nothing better than the peace that nature transmits us. ☺️
Nature talks to us, makes us feel light and away from all the problems of everyday work. Listening to the birds chirping in the wind on the leaves of the trees, observing and recording the birds and vegetation with all their colors and details can be a challenge that will delight you, the length of the route is immense and the biodiversity is very rich full of color and life.
