1-Studies reveal that the soundscape of the ocean today is arguably different from pre-industrial time, also reveal significant damage to all marine life.

2. With noisy ships, oil drilling and seismic study explosions, human beings have drastically altered the underwater sound landscape - in some cases, disorienting and even deafening aquatic mammals that rely on sound vibrations to orient themselves.

3. Intense seismic surveys have affected marine life both psychologically and in reproduction, which puts animals in complete stress. These same seismic surveys reach an average of 230 decibels, while a rock concert reaches up to 120 decibels.

4. Many scientists specializing in marine life are calling for stricter regulations in relation to seismic surveys.

5. Human beings not only created more noise, but also eliminated most of the natural noise existing in the sea, such as whale hunting (which almost wiped out the whale song) or the death of coral reefs (thanks to pollution and global warming), which made the surrounding noise no more.

6. The construction of propellers and hulls of quieter ships and the use of drilling techniques that do not cause bubbles and vibrations in the water can cut noise pollution in half, as well as the use of more renewable energy so there is no need to use Petroleum.
